| Spent 36 years with the "UndergrounD" or LUL as its known now. Started as a Guard and finished 2001, done all sorts of things and sometimes took my camera to work.
I spent most of my the time on the "tube" lines but also had a few years on the "Met" hence Steam on the Met pictures. Anyway enjoy! Some extra pictures added from Allan Mitchell, Allan tells me that only one "A" stock ever carried aname. During 1987 a plaque was made to remember Cyril White who died in 1986. Cyril was a line controller on the Bakerloo and Metropolitan lines. The train only made one journey in service when it was seen by a "very big boss" who had it taken out of service and the plaque removed. Allan worked on the JLE and took some pictures of testing on the flood gates at Canning Town and also saw the first weed killing train on the JLE at Stratford Market Depot. |
